Terms of Service

You Again is operated by Diverse Innovations Inc. · Last updated October 16, 2026

These are the terms you agree to by using youagain.io. Section 4 — what You Again is not — is the one to read closely.

1. Who we are

You Again is operated by Diverse Innovations Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”), a corporation incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, with its office in Peterborough, Ontario. “You Again” is a trade name used by that company for this product.

By using youagain.io (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does

You Again is a self-reflection tool. You answer a short set of questions, and the Service produces a personalised read of how you are showing up right now — a nickname for the pattern it sees, a set of trait scores, and a short written reflection. Because you can check in repeatedly, it also builds a record of how your answers change over time.

Depending on which parts you use, the Service also offers:

You Again is under active development. Features get added, changed and sometimes switched off, and some are only available to some people while they are being tested.

3. Free and paid features

The core of You Again is free, and will stay free. Checking in, taking the quiz, seeing your read, your trends, setting a direction and a daily step, and using your journal do not cost anything.

The AI Assistant chat and Insights are sold as a paid plan called You Again+. Until that plan is switched on, those features are free to everyone as well. When it is on:

Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial. A payment method is required to start the trial, and unless you cancel before the trial ends it converts automatically into a paid subscription at the price shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

Current prices are always shown on the site. We may change prices, and we may change what each plan includes. A change never affects a payment you have already completed, and if it affects your renewal we will tell you before it takes effect.

Paid plans are sold by Diverse Innovations Inc. and billed in Canadian dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. on our behalf: Stripe handles the card transaction and sends your receipt, and Stripe’s own terms apply to the payment itself. We never receive or store your full payment card details. Where sales tax applies to your purchase, it is shown at checkout before you pay.

To cancel or change a subscription, open the You Again+ page in the app and choose Manage billing, which takes you to a secure billing portal — or email us at hello@youagain.io and we will do it. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

There is no advertising in You Again, and we do not sell your information to advertisers or data brokers.

4. What the Service is not

You Again is not therapy, counselling, or mental health care. It is not a clinical, psychological or psychometric assessment. It does not diagnose anything, it does not treat anything, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

Your read is not a verdict about who you are. The Service reflects back the answers you gave, in the moment you gave them. It is a prompt for reflection, not a measurement of your personality, your worth or your future. The nicknames and descriptions it uses are creative language, not clinical categories.

The AI is software, not a person and not a counsellor. It can be wrong, and sometimes confidently wrong. It has no training, credentials or duty of care. Please do not rely on it for medical, psychological, legal or financial decisions.

If you are struggling, please talk to a real person. You Again is not built for crisis support and cannot help in an emergency.

If you need help right now

These are the resources the app itself points to. They are Ontario and Canada specific, because that is who You Again is built for:

Where the Service is intended to be used

You Again is built for, and intended for, people in Ontario, Canada. The crisis and safety resources above — including 911, which is not a universal emergency number outside North America — are specific to that region. If you are using the app from somewhere else, please look up what is actually available to you locally rather than relying on what the app names.

How the app handles crisis language in the AI chats

Because the chats are open-ended, the app does two things when a message appears to describe a crisis. Both are worth knowing about before you use them.

This detection works by matching words and phrases. It is a safety net, not a monitoring system and not a clinical safeguard: it will miss things worded indirectly, it will occasionally flag something you did not mean that way, and nobody is watching your conversations in real time. Please do not rely on it to summon help.

5. Your account and your content

6. Sharing and feedback — please read before you share

Treat a read you share as something anyone who receives it can see and pass on. Sharing creates a six-character code and a link. A link can be forwarded, and a code can be repeated. Only share with people you trust, and only share a read you are comfortable having seen.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or close an account for breaching this section.

8. Intellectual property

The Service — including its software, question bank, scoring model, trait descriptions, visual system, text and design — is owned by Diverse Innovations Inc. and its licensors. These Terms give you no rights in it beyond the right to use the Service.

Your own reads, notes, journal entries and exported images are yours. You may share them wherever you like. You may not republish the Service’s question bank or content as your own.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any read, insight or AI response will be accurate, appropriate or useful for you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your rights under Ontario consumer protection legislation and, where it applies to you, consumer protection law in your own jurisdiction.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, open Your account and choose Delete my account, or email hello@youagain.io and ask. Deleting your account deletes your check-in history, your readings, your directions and steps, your journal entries and chats, and your shared reads. You can download a copy of all of it from the same page first.

We may suspend or close your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue it entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a reasonable opportunity to get a copy of your history first.

Sections 4, 8, 9, 10 and 13 survive termination.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. The courts of Ontario have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any right you have under the consumer protection law of your own place of residence.

We do not require you to arbitrate a dispute, or to give up any right to bring a claim in court.
